OK, I have to admit, the Troyer team is as good, no actually better, than their reputation.   My wife and I are very happy sellers.   Immediately after we agreed to list the house with David, Ashley worked quickly with their contractors to dial-in the correct level of sprucing up that our aging Los Altos ranch home needed to achieve a favorably priced sale.  They focused on the heart of the home and updated the kitchen with new countertops, appliances, lighting and a beautiful white paint job on the old oak cabinets and red brick fireplace.   The difference was amazing, the whole house was so much lighter.  They updated the bathrooms as well with a countertop and tile glazing.   They rounded out  the project with a beautiful interior paint job and refinished hardwood floors.  The house looked fantastic and the team pulled it off in FIVE weeks from first on-site meeting to listing!  Thank you Ashley and Bae!    The “transformation” came in at about $55K, but the impact on the marketability and appeal of the house was amazing.  David assured us we would make 100% or more return on our investment.  Laina created a lovely write-up for the listing and  kindly took our comments into consideration.   Immediately after the video and pictures were released, there was a constant stream of potential buyers.  David priced the house strategically at the what looked like a good value for Los Altos.   As he predicted we got five offers over the list price and accepted the top offer only one week later at 12+% over list.   The offer we accepted yielded us an over 5x return on our remodel investment!    We are very happy customers.    And while the sale was important to us, I’d like to point out the experience with David’s whole team was kind of amazing.   Ashley, Baidra, Tina and Laina all were very responsive to our calls and emails.  They always were polite to us and incredibly efficient at whatever part of the process they managed.   Really nice people that did a great job at keeping our stress level to an absolute minimum.  The team operated with such confidence and know-how, I can’t believe how hands-off I allowed myself to be on the project.  While not technically part of David’s team, the escrow officer David chose, Kathy, at the title company was also incredibly high caliber and helped us cut through the documents with ease and humor.   Everyone member of David’s team knows exactly what they are doing and they make the Troyer machine run flawlessly.   And of course, David spent time with my wife and I at all the critical decision points, always taking the time to confidently walk us through his recommendations with as much explanation as we needed to get comfortable with the process.  I recommend David Troyer and The Troyer Group to anyone that is interested in getting a great price and having a stress free experience selling their home.

AMAZING! Not sure where to start. The Troyer & Cabot Group led by David Troyer and Mike Cabot knows their business and their professional Team is completely dedicated to helping their clients. We feel lucky to have been one. David and Mike helped us successfully sell our home in Los Altos, CA. Before writing this review I read through other Yelp reviews. Honestly the 5 star reviews previously posted say it all. I agree 100% with all of them. The entire team is outstanding. Everyone of them are superstars in their field. We couldn’t have been more pleased with all facets of preparing, listing and selling the house. Five days after listing the house we met with David and Mike to discuss 11 offers! This is during the middle of the Coronavirus pandemic! I totally agree with other reviewer who stated they felt like they were the only client David and Mike’s team was working with. That’s how much attention they give each client. Questions are answered immediately-no waiting over night for an answer to a question we felt needed immediate attention. I would also like to mention we felt everyone at Troyer & Cabot Group was honest and sincere in their desire to make the entire process go smoothly. My wife and I closed our new house with David Troyer, Mike Cabot and their amazing team almost exactly a year ago, and after enjoying the year-long monthly subscription of Harry and David fruit boxes that they gifted us afterwards, I definitely wanted to write this review.

From our very first meeting back in the fall of 2018 to the close of both transactions, David, Mike and their team were nothing short of exemplary.  We worked with them on the buying side (we purchased a home first), and then on the selling side (we sold our old home second).  Both processes were extremely smooth, and David, Mike and their team get superb marks for communication, organization, clarity, honestly, swiftness, and friendliness.  For example, the renovations to our old house were not only completed shockingly quickly, but on time, and *under budget*.  I honestly don’t know what could have been done better.

As empty nesters, we decided to downsize after living in Los Altos Hills for over 20 years. After interviewing several realtors, David and Mike were in our top two choices. It was a 51/49% decision to go with another realtor. They were extremely professional, gracious, and ethical while we were under contract with another realtor to sell our house. We did not have the same experience with some of the other realtors we interviewed. David and Mike’s professionalism was the deciding factor in selecting them to represent us on the buy side.    

Our plan was to rent a home while we looked patiently for the right next home for us. We had very specific desires and requirements. David and Mike’s deep knowledge with the real estate industry and the South Bay Area really shone. Cathy on their team was extremely responsive in helping us find a rental property. But after two weeks of looking, we unexpectedly came across our next home.   David and Mike’s expertise was very apparent in the negotiation of the price, the terms and conditions, and the timing with our sale transaction. We had a couple of road bumps on the sell side, but they were superb in balancing being honest and transparent with our seller vs. over-reacting which would result in anxiety with our seller. Bottomline, we closed escrows on the sell side in the morning and the buy side in the afternoon, one day later than our original contractual date.

Our home went on the market on MLS on Thursday, had the broker tour on Friday, open house through the weekend, then offers were collected on Wednesday.
